LunarCrush · Beta Feedback
Privacy & what we collect
Last updated May 29, 2026
This page collects feedback to help us build a better LunarCrush. Here is exactly what happens when you record, in plain language.
What we collect
- Your recordings — the voice (and, if you turn on screen sharing, the screen) you record while giving feedback.
- Transcripts — text of what you said, generated on your device and on our server.
- Name & email — only if you choose to enter them. You can stay anonymous.
- Basic device info — browser, operating system, screen size, timezone and language, so we can reproduce any bugs you hit. We do not collect your precise location.
How it is used
- To understand reactions to the new LunarCrush and prioritize fixes and improvements.
- Transcription is performed using OpenAI's Whisper API; your recording audio is sent to OpenAI solely to produce a transcript.
- Summaries of feedback may be generated with an AI model and reviewed internally by the LunarCrush team.
Screen sharing is optional and you are in control
Screen sharing is off until you choose a window or tab to share, and your browser always asks you first. Please close anything sensitive (banking, email, password managers) before sharing your screen.
Who can see it
Feedback is accessible to the LunarCrush team behind a password-protected admin tool. We do not sell your data. We may quote anonymized feedback internally and with partners to illustrate product reactions.
Retention & deletion
Recordings are retained for up to 90 days and then deleted automatically. Want yours removed sooner? Email joe@lunarcrush.com with the name or email you used and we will delete it.
Storage
Data is stored on Cloudflare infrastructure (R2 object storage and D1) operated on behalf of LunarCrush.
